New tuberculosis prevention study findings reported from Center for Disease Control

Scientists discuss in 'Evaluating the effects of providing financial incentives to tuberculosis patients and health providers in China' new findings in tuberculosis. According to recent research from Beijing, People's Republic of China, "A project was implemented in 50 low-income counties of Shanxi, where transport incentives were provided to poor patients for their first visit for tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis as well as for referral and supervision incentives for doctors. To evaluate the effects of providing incentives on TB case detection and treatment."
