New tuberculosis research from Colorado State University described

According to recent research from the United States, "The hallmark of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is the granuloma, a highly dynamic immune structure that contains the bacilli during chronic infection. Here, we examined if alpha 1 beta 1 integrin is required in the development and maintenance of the granulomatous structure during pulmonary infection using the alpha 1 integrin knockout (alpha 1-null) mouse."
