Studies from Federal University yield new information about tuberculosis

Investigators publish new data in the report 'Role of IFN-gamma +874 T/A single nucleotide polymorphism in the tuberculosis outcome among Brazilians subjects.' According to recent research published in the journal Molecular Biology Reports, "Several genetic cytokine gene variants have been associated with host susceptibility to infectious diseases, including tuberculosis.
