According to recent research from Marseille, France, "The aetiological diagnosis of pneumonia depends largely on culture-, antigen- or PCR-based tests. Atypical agents of pneumonia include Coxiella burnetii, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Chlamydia psittaci, Legionella pneumophila, Francisella tularensis and Mycoplasma pneumoniae."
