Vermedx® Diabetes Treatment Cost Savings Data Published in American Journal of Managed Care

The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) has published an article describing the experience of Vermont Managed Care, Inc., a physician hospital organization (PHO), in the clinical utilization of the Vermedx Diabetes Information System® (VDIS). The article may be viewed at www.ajmc.com. Participation in the VDIS program is associated with substantial reductions in claims paid as well as measurable treatment quality improvements. Net savings range from $504 per patient in the first year of operations, to $3,563 in the fourth year, according to the AJMC article.
