Will Flu Crisis Push U.S. toward an “Infectious Katrina”?

On April 29 the World Heath Organization (WHO) raised the Influenza A (H1N1) pandemic alert to level 5 and urged all countries to immediately activate their national influenza preparedness plans. Many U.S. healthcare industry observers were left wondering if the U.S. is headed for an “Infectious Katrina” experience.
