New Animated DVD Helps Children to Better Understand and Prevent Contracting the Flu

To help children better understand the flu, including the H1N1 virus, and how to prevent contracting all forms of influenza, a new animated health education DVD has been released called Molly and the Flu.

The DVD was created by the Erie Niagara Area Health Education Center (ENAHEC), which is part of the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) program with offices in 40 states.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported there were eight million cases of H1N1 flu virus among children under the age of 18 from April through Oct. 17. This represented 36 percent of all cases nationwide and included 36,000 hospitalizations and 540...
