2011 NOV 1 -- According to the authors of a study from New Delhi, India, "Tuberculous meningitis (TBM) is a serious complication of tuberculosis that affects the central nervous system. Present methods to diagnose TBM are not suitable for early diagnosis."

"Molecular markers and sensitive methods to identify them in the early stage of infection of TBM are critically needed for efficient management.
