2012 MAY 1 -- In this recent article published in the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, scientists in Newcastle, Australia conducted a study "To document the impact of pandemic influenza A H1N1 (2009) in New South Wales (NSW) children's hospitals. A novel surveillance system, Paediatric Active Enhanced Disease Surveillance (PAEDS), identified hospitalised children < 15 years with laboratory-proven influenza (1 June-30 September 2009) in the three children's hospitals in NSW: Children's Hospital at Westmead (CHW), Sydney Children's Hospital, John Hunter Children's Hospital."
