U.S. patent issued covers image analysis

ChromaVision Medical Systems, Inc., (CVSN) has been granted an additional U.S. patent that extends the company's claims related to the automated cellular imaging system (ACIS) system, bringing the total of the company's issued patents to 14 and further strengthening its intellectual property portfolio.

The patent, United States Patent #6,718,053, entitled Method and Apparatus for Automated Image Analysis of Biological Specimens, extends broad coverage to ACIS, its mechanisms of operation and its general purposes.
