North Carolina State University opens veterinary medicine imaging center

The Iams Company has opened a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) center on the campus of North Carolina State University (NCSU).

The Iams Pet Imaging Center is the first corporate presence on the University's Centennial Biomedical Campus and is located adjacent to the College of Veterinary Medicine's Teaching Hospital.

The technology comes from ProScan International, a provider of human MRI services.

The Iams Pet Imaging Center will serve a dual purpose because of its location at a veterinary school: practicing veterinarians in the area can refer to the new service, and students will be able to see MRI images early in their...
