Recent findings in cervical cancer described

Cervical cancer research advances have been reported from the United States and France.

Study 1: Study data indicate that polymorphisms of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase and methionine synthase genes are associated with reduced risk of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 2 or 3 in women with adequate folic acid intake.

According to University of Alabama, Birmingham, nutrition scientists, "The role of nutrient-related genetic susceptibility factors for precancerous lesions is gaining attention."
