Imaging-radiation therapy system developer raises $14 million in private financing round

TomoTherapy, which is based in Madison, Wisconsin, has developed a new medical system that combines on-board CT imaging with conformal radiation therapy to provide precision in the treatment of cancer patients. The system is designed to target radiation treatment to the patient's tumor while limiting damage to the surrounding tissues. The technology was the result of collaboration with the University of Wisconsin.
