Ultrasonographic predictors of unsuccessful endocardial lead implantation are determined. According to recent research from Taiwan, "The cephalic vein approach is a preferred route for endocardial lead implantation; however, it is associated with a significant failure rate. Anatomic abnormalities likely play an important role, but specific features have not been well characterized. Color Doppler ultrasonography was performed in 82 consecutive patients prior to endocardial lead implantation." J.Y.
