AMD Telemedicine reports clinical business acquired by management-led group

AMD Telemedicine, Inc., a telemedicine equipment and technology provider, announced that its clinical business has been acquired by an executive team led by company chief operating officer Steve Normandin, who will now become president of the new venture. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquired clinical telemedicine equipment business unit will continue to operate under the name AMD Telemedicine. The former company's other division, which is focused on telemedicine systems for the home monitoring market, will also continue as a separate company under the name AMD Telehealth, Inc.
