Reports on post operative pain therapy findings from University of Liege provide new insights

Investigators publish new data in the report "Intravenous lidocaine infusion facilitates acute rehabilitation after laparoscopic colectomy." According to recent research from Belgium, "Intravenous infusion of lidocaine decreases postoperative pain and speeds the return of bowel function. The authors therefore tested the hypothesis that perioperative lidocaine infusion facilitates acute rehabilitation protocol in patients undergoing laparoscopic colectomy."
