Researchers from Medical College detail new studies and findings in the area of acid reflux disease

According to a study from Tokyo, Japan, "The mechanisms involved in reflux esophagitis (RE) are mainly esophageal motor dysfunction and abnormal esophageal acid exposure. Therefore the extent of gastric mucosal atrophy (GMA), which is related to gastric acid secretion, is an important factor in the development of RE."
