Multi-slice CT imaging system installed in S. California for cardiac diagnostics

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) announced the installation of its Aquilion 64 CFX multislice CT system for cardiac applications at the Newport Coast Advanced Imaging in Newport Beach, California.

Located in Orange County, Calif., the Newport Coast Advanced Imaging is a new outpatient imaging center serving the surrounding community.

The Aquilion 64 CFX utilizes a multi-detector CT imaging technology to deliver high-resolution cardiovascular imaging with broader anatomical coverage.

The Quantum detector also enables the scanner to acquire 64 simultaneous slices of 0.5 mm with each 400-millisecond gantry revolution. The...
