RS3PE syndrome is linked to vascular endothelial growth factor up-regulation

RS3PE (remitting seronegative symmetrical synovitis with pitting edema syndrome) is linked to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) up-regulation.

Researchers in Japan conducted research "to characterize serum concentrations of various cytokines and detection by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of synovial hypervascularity in patients with RS3PE syndrome before and after corticosteroid treatment."
