Breault Research develops skin model

Breault Research Organization (BRO) has developed a robust, multi-layered skin model for use within its Advanced Systems Analysis Program (ASAP).

ASAP Optical Software is a proven research tool for the development of bio-optical devices such as confocal microscopes and fluorescence-imaging systems. These and other bio-optical systems are sometimes made to observe complex optical phenomena in biological tissues. To facilitate understanding and development of emergent bio-optical systems, BRO is implementing realistic tissue phantoms in optical software, beginning with an advanced skin-modeling technique.
