Research on radiology discussed by scientists at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

New investigation results, "Shape-constraint region growing for delineation of hepatic metastases on contrast-enhanced computed tomograph scans," are detailed in a study published in Investigative Radiology. According to recent research from the United States, "The objectives of this study were to develop a shape-constraint region-growing algorithm to automatically delineate liver metastases on computed tomography images and to compare automated tumor measurements with those outlined manually by radiologists. The algorithm starts with a manual selection of a seed lesion region of interest (ROI)."
