New data from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey illuminate research in restenosis prognosis

Research findings, 'Patterns of in-stent restenosis after carotid artery stenting: classification and implications for long-term outcome,' are discussed in a new report. "Factors predicting in-stent restenosis (ISR) and future need for target lesion revascularization (TLR) after carotid artery stenting (CAS) remain undetermined. We hypothesized that the patterns of restenotic lesions may provide prognostic information," scientists writing in the Journal of Vascular Surgery report.
