Scientists at Temple University target adenocarcinoma

According to recent research from the United States, "During the past 15 years, there has been increasing enthusiasm for the use of laparoscopic techniques in the operative treatment of patients suffering from colorectal disease."

"Laparoscopic colectomy has been demonstrated to be safe for patients suffering from adenocarcinoma of the intraperitoncal colon. Attention is now being focused on the treatment of patients with rectal adenocarcinoma using laparoscopic methods," wrote T.E. Read and colleagues, Temple University.
