Imaging company granted Canadian patent

Imaging Diagnostic Systems, Inc., (IMDS) announced the international patent application filed April 1999 for "Laser Imaging Apparatus Using Biomedical Markers That Bind To Cancer Cells" was granted as Canadian patent No. 2,373,299 for a period of 20 years from the date of filing until April 1, 2019.

Robert Wake, vice president of engineering, stated, "This patent, the Canadian equivalent of U.S. Letters patent 5,952,664, broadly covers the optical imaging of fluorescent compounds.
