Research findings, 'Nanoparticles incorporated in bilaminated films: a smart drug delivery system for oral formulations,' are discussed in a new report. "A novel smart drug delivery system (NP-Film) consisting of carboxylation chitosan-grafted nanoparticles (CCGNs) and bilaminated films, which were composed of the mucoadhesive chitosan-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid hydrogel layer and the hydrophobic ethylcellulose layer, was developed for oral delivery of protein drugs.
