Reports summarize restenosis risk factors study results from University of Minnesota, Department of Neurology

A new study, 'Risk factors for in-stent restenosis after vertebral ostium stenting,' is now available. In this recently published article, scientists in the United States conducted a study "To determine whether vascular risk factors, underlying vessel diameter, and/or the type of stent affect restenosis rates for vertebral ostium stents. A single-center retrospective analysis was conducted of 44 patients (31 men; mean age 61 years, range 32-81) who underwent stenting of 48 ostial lesions in the vertebral arteries between 1999 and 2005."
