Recent findings from Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Department of Pediatrics highlight research in acute encephalitis

New research, 'Acute encephalitis with refractory, repetitive partial seizures,' is the subject of a report. "Acute encephalitis with refractory, repetitive partial seizures (AERRPS) is a new epileptic syndrome described by Sakuma in Japan in 2001. The clinical manifestations, neuroimaging findings and outcome of AERRPS in Taiwan have not been reported," investigators in Taichung, Taiwan report.
