"Ten formed a control group, 10 underwent intraperitoneal CO2 insufflation, and 10 underwent preperitoneal CO2 insufflation. General anesthesia with controlled ventilation was standardized for all dogs. After stabilizing the anesthesia, blood samples were collected at predetermined times and were sent for immediate gasometric analysis. Analysis of variance was used for comparing variables.
