Melanoma Vaccine Improves Survival in Patients with Antibody Response

New York University School of Medicine researchers find that the antibody response to a polyvalent melanoma antigen vaccine is predictive of a later reduction in the recurrence of melanoma.

Kenneth Miller et al. investigated the clinical relevance of antibody responses to melanoma vaccine immunization in 108 patients with surgically resected, stage III malignant melanoma ("Improved Survival of Patients with Melanoma with an Antibody Response to Immunization to a Polyvalent Melanoma Vaccine," Cancer, January 15, 1995;75(2):495-502).
