Jewish Refugees Born After 1957 Should Be Vaccinated

Jewish refugees to the United States from the former Soviet Union who were born after 1957 should be given combined measles, mumps and rubella vaccine unless their written documentation indicates previous receipt of these antigens.

More than 210,000 refugees from the former Soviet Union (FSU) have been admitted to the United States since the easing of emigration restrictions in 1988.
