Concurrent TIG and Td Administration Affects Response

Concurrent administration of tetanus immune globulin (TIG) and tetanus-diptheria (Td) vaccine interferes with the immune response to tetanus toxoid in subjects with low prevaccination antibody titers, according to a report from manufacturer SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals.

In the management of wounds, adults are sometimes given Td vaccine dose plus TIG.
