According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the International Symposium on Clinical Immunology, held July 20-23, 1995, in San Francisco, California, "A cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response can be generated in vivo by immunization with RMA-S cells loaded with total acid peptide fraction (TAPF, Mr<5000) of tumor cells. We recently demonstrated that RMA-S cells stably transfected with cDNA encoding for the human B7.1 costimulatory molecule (RMA-S/B7) acquire a high and sometimes unique efficiency for in vitro primary CTL induction.
