Small Liposomes Boost Immunogenicity of Tumor Vaccines

Small-sized liposome adjuvants boost the immunogenicity of tumor vaccines derived from normally weakly immunogenic tumors toward more effective antimetastatic activity.

Previous research has shown that liposomes can effectively be used as adjuvants to stimulate humoral and cellular specific immune responses of tumor vaccines. O. Masso et al. submitted research to the 1994 International Symposium on Cancer Vaccines showing that the use of liposomes increases the immunogenicity of weakly immunogenic tumor vaccines.
