According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 37th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology, held December 1-5, 1995, in Seattle, Washington, "The idiotypic (Id) determinants of the surface immunoglobulin receptor of B cell lymphoma can serve as a tumor specific antigen. In animals, immune responses (JR) directed against these determinants can confer protection against tumor challenge and can cause regression of pre-existing disease.
