Some researchers have suggested that vaccination-mediated immune stimulation might activate T cells and enhance HIV replication. This prompted Dr. Octavio Ramilo and colleagues at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas to investigate the effect of influenza immunization on T-cell activation and HIV burden in children, (Pediatr Infect Dis J 1996;15:197-203).
