According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 11th International Conference on AIDS, held July 7-12, 1996, in Vancouver, British Columbia, "Objective: To establish and study homotypic mixed infections with two phenotypically and genotypically distinct primary isolates of HIV-2 using an established animal modeling system for human retroviral infection.
