"Recombinant MUC1 Protein as a Candidate for Breast Cancer Vaccine Development."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 21st Meeting of the International Association For Breast Cancer Research, held July 3-5, 1996, in Paris, France, "Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women in the western world. In spite of the development of new cytotoxic drugs and new therapeutic protocols the death rate is still high due to failure of the treatment in advanced cases. New approaches for the prevention and treatment of metastatic spread should be designed.
