Positive Optivax Human Clinical Trial Results Announced

Vaxcel, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, announced that a Phase I clinical trial has demonstrated both the safety and vaccine adjuvant activity of Optivax copolymers in humans.

A detailed presentation of the clinical trial results was given by the study's principal clinical investigators, Dr. Pierre L. Triozzi, the Ohio State University, at the joint meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Association of Immunologists, and the Clinical Immunology Society. The Phase I trial was conducted under contract with the Ohio State University Research Foundation.
