Licensure Sought for Combination DTAP-Hib Vaccine Use in Children

Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines and Pediatrics, St. Davids, Pennsylvania, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review the Product License Application for a combination vaccine with the requested name of Tetracel.

Licensure of Tetracel has been sought for use in toddlers at 12 to 18 months of age for immunization against four serious childhood illnesses - diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b or Hib disease.
