Clinical Trial for DTAP-IPV Vaccine Announced

North American Vaccine, Beltsville, Maryland, announced that it is has filed an investigational new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to conduct clinical trials in the United States with a DTaP-IPV vaccine which combines Certiva, the company's combined diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine, with an injectable inactivated polio vaccine.

The clinical trials, to be conducted at several clinical sites around the country, are designed to establish the safety and immunogenicity of this vaccine in infants and children.
