According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 88th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, held April 12-16, 1997, in San Diego, California, "Twenty disease-free patients at high risk for melanoma recurrence were treated with cell-vaccine immunotherapy for one year. Patients received several subcutaneous injections of three melanoma cell lines (C32, A375, and CMC 92-9) to activate an immune response against newly-formed or remaining melanoma cells.
