HGP-30 Vaccine Study Results Announced

Cel-Sci Corp., Alexandria, Virginia, and AIDS ReSEARCH Alliance, West Hollywood, California, announced the completion of a Phase I safety study of the HGP-30 AIDS vaccine in 24 HIV infected patients.

The study showed that immunizations with the HGP-30 vaccine coupled to KLH were safe in AIDS patients. Based upon these results, Cel-Sci Corp. and AIDS ReSEARCH Alliance have intended to evaluate the HGP-30 vaccine together with sargramostim, a recombinant human granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF), supplied by Immunex Corp., Seattle, Washington.
