According to an abstract submitted by the author to the conference New Trends in Vaccine R & D: Adjuvants, Delivery Systems, and Antigen Formulations, held February 26-28, 1998, in Cedex, France, "Biodegradable poly(lactide) and poly(lactide-co-glycolide) microspheres (PLA-MS; PLGA-MS) have been shown to be capable of eliciting strong and long-lasting antibody and T cell proliferative responses to encapsulated protein and peptide antigens.
