According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the conference entitled Digestive Disease Week, held May 16-22, in New Orleans, Louisiana, "Method: Groups of Wistar rats (n=42), weighing 200 g, 24 h fasting, provided with water ad libitum, and anesthetized were submitted to laparotomy. 0.025 ml of GAA was injected in the mucosal gastric subserosa, at the junction of the antrum and the gastric body. At 24 hr every group (n=7) were submitted to a second laparatomy and reinjected in the same region. Group 1: 0.5 ml saline was administered and the laparatomy was closed. G 2: 100 mg/Kg bFGF.
