"A Melanoma Associated Fibronectin Variant Characterized by Monoclonal Antibody SM 5-1."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 2nd Congress of Molecular Medicine, held May 6-9, 1998, at the International Congress Center, Berlin, Germany, "In an effort to detect novel melanoma associated antigens we have generated the monoclonal antibody (mAb) SM 5-1 by using a subtractive immunization protocol in a mouse model of human melanoma. After immunizing with the non-metastatic melanoma cell line SMMUneg, mice were treated with cyclophosphamide and again immunized with the highly metastatic melanoma cell line SMMUpos.
