First Detailed, 3-D Image of Surface Protein of AIDS Virus Derived

Researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Columbia University, for the first time, have obtained a detailed, three-dimensional picture of the lock-and-key mechanism by which HIV-1 latches onto blood cells - a milestone in the effort to develop AIDS vaccines that are effective against many strains of the virus.
