"Despite the induction of both [immunoglobulin A] IgA and IgG vaginal antibodies following immunization with recombinant vaccinia virus vectors expressing either glycoproteins B or D, viral infection occurred in most animals even after minimal viral dose," reported University of Tennessee researchers N.A. Kuklin and colleagues.
They noted that all infected mice survived and developed "few, in any, clinical signs of infection."
