Aged Mice Successfully Immunized with Myogenic DNA Vaccine

Pharmadigm Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, presented data at IBC's 4th Annual Conference on Genetic Vaccines about its attempts to immunologically protect aged mice against a lethal virus challenge through DNA vaccination.

The DNA vaccine in this study incorporated Pharmadigm's proprietary myogenic gene-transfer vector.

Virologist John Gebhard, Pharmadigm Inc., reported on "DNA Vaccination and Immunological Protection of Aged Mice." In the experiment he described, the model assessed protection from genital herpes after infection with herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2).
