"Impaired Antibody Response Following Vaccination With T-Cell Dependent Antigens in Patients With Type-1 Diabetes."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 33rd meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation, held April 8-10, 1999, in Milan, Italy, "There is increasing evidence that multiple immunological abnormalities occur in patients with type-1 diabetes. Few studies so far, investigated the antibody response to various T-cell dependent as well as T independent vaccination antigens in these patients. In the present ongoing study the immune response following vaccination with different types of antigens is investigated in patients with type-1 diabetes. Antibodies are determined by ELISA.
