Antibodies Against Breast Tumor Antigen Discovered

Specific circulating antibodies (Ab) to the breast cancer antigen GCDFP-15/gp17 were detected by an ELISA assay, reported researchers from Italy.

"Determination of circulating antibodies against tumor neoantigens is important for the development of preventive or therapeutic vaccines," noted R. Pasquinelli and colleagues from the Istituto Internazionale di Genetica e Biofisica, Italy. "We report here the finding of antibodies against the breast tumor antigen GCDFP-15/gp17."
